Eligibility

Must live in targeted neighborhood (call for clarification as this can change each year), live in and be the homeowner of the home you're seeking repairs for, and have total household income under the HUD guidelines of 80% area median income. Richmond (specifically in Bellemeade, Oak Grove, Davee Gardens, and Windsor), Henrico (Highland Springs), Chesterfield (Ettrick & Matoaca), and District 19: City of Hopewell.

Application process

Churches, neighborhood, and community services organizations refer homes to the Rebuilding Together of Richmond. Individual homeowners may request our services if they live in the target community being served by RTR for the current Fiscal Year.

Description

The program is centered around a "blitz" build, held the last Saturday in April, when over 1,000 volunteers each year make both major and minor repairs to qualified homes.
