Description

The Community Domestic Violence Program monitors and reports violations of protective orders that have been issued by the courts. When a protective order against a domestic partner is issued by the court, Domestic Violence Program staff monitor these orders and report violations of treatment conditions to the court. They work closely with prosecutors and advocates to ensure that perpetrators of domestic violence are held accountable. Staff members also make certain that victims of alleged abuse receive information about the various resources in the community, and work to help victims and families receive appropriate services. The goal is to provide a consistent, seamless judicial process that is accessible to victims and maintains accountability of offenders.
