SRHA administers two primary housing programs through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): Multifamily Apartments: We own and manage 150 units across two properties—Elizabeth Miller Gardens and Farrier Court—providing quality apartments and townhomes ranging from 1 to 5 bedrooms for eligible low-income families and individuals. Housing Choice Voucher Program: Commonly known as Section 8, our voucher program helps eligible families, seniors, and individuals afford privately-owned rental housing throughout Staunton and Augusta County. We also administer VASH vouchers specifically for veterans experiencing homelessness.
