Description

Virginia Industries for the Blind (VIB) is a division of the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired. Its mission is to employ and develop Virginians who are blind, vision impaired, or deafblind through the manufacture and delivery of quality products and services. VIB offers paid jobs in manufacturing and customer service, Contract service positions and Vocational training and evaluation to help workers build skills and advance in their careers. Altogether, VIB provides employment, training, and career growth opportunities—plus a wide range of products and services—for people who are blind, vision impaired, or deafblind throughout the Commonwealth.

DBVI provides services and resources which empower individuals who are blind, vision impaired or deafblind to achieve their desired levels of employment, education, and personal independence. Services are provided through 4 main programs: Vocational Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Teaching and Independent Living, Low Vision Services and Education Services.
