Operates a 24-hour hotline. Provides counseling and emotional support for survivors of sexual assault and incest. Also offers advocacy through criminal justice and medical procedures, and legal/ medical referrals. Provides advocates to accompany survivors to a hospital for the SANE exam (forensic exam) on an on-call basis. Can provide advocates to accompany survivors to the police department or the courts with 48 hours notice to the business office. Offers educational presentations and professional training on issues related to sexual violence.

Serves as a clearing house for missing and exploited children. Also offers a National Emergency Child Locator Center: In the event of a natural disaster, the National Emergency Child Locator Center will: * Establish a toll-free hotline to receive reports of displaced children; * Create a website to provide information about displaced children; * Deploy staff to the location of a declared disaster area to gather information about displaced children; * Provide information to the public about additional resources; * Partner with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies; and * Refer reports of displaced adults to the Attorney General's designated authority and the National Emergency Family Registry and Locator System.
