If you have lost the right to vote as a result of a felony conviction in a Virginia court, a UUnited States District or a military court the restoration of rights restores the rights to vote, to run for and hold public office, to serve on juries and to serve as a notary public. Twenty week residential program * Staff monitor offenders working in community at paid jobs and perform random urinalysis testing * Programs provided include employment counseling, substance abuse education, NA/AA groups, basic education/GED preparation, parenting skills, independent living skills, transitional services, and coping with domestic violence * Court costs and restitution collected * Community service performed * Mandatory one year supervised probation.

Providing care, custody and support to the inmates lawfully placed in our charge

Offenders are connected with resources and services that will provide for a smoother transition and participation in programming.

Programs and services for detained youth; ensures public safety while preparing the youth to re-enter the community. Educational programs for academic credits, GED, and other educational needs provided by Norfolk Public Schools.

A 60-bed facility that detains juveniles ordered through the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court systems serving the cities of Danville and Martinsville and the counties of Halifax, Henry, Mecklenburg, Patrick and Pittsylvania.

Provides a secure adult detention facility that operates under the Virginia Department of Corrections minimum standards for jails and lockups. The mission of Middle River Regional Jail is regulated by the Superintendent and mandated standards, developed and set forth by the Virginia Board of Corrections. The goal of the facility is that, through policies and procedures, these standards will be upheld and security and control will be maintained in the Middle River Regional Jail.
